Six Forks EMS offer a unique program that will allow you to become
an “Associate Member” while you are waiting to become certified. Or,
if you would like to attend monthly continuing education only for
your recredential requirements we also can offer this membership.
Educational membership does not mandate you practice as an EMT,
however, NC Office of EMS mandates you have an agency affiliation in
order to practice OR to recredential once your certification
expires.
If you are actively enrolled in an EMT class, or hold a current NC
EMT certification, you may apply for Associate Membership.
Note: Associate Members do not have voting privileges and cannot run
for any Board of Directors position within the Squad.
Following the process of your application you may begin working on
your recruit packet if you decide you would like to practice.
You will need to attend one of the monthly orientations listed on
the calendar, after you have filled out an associate member
application and submitted a background check. Orientation is held at
our station number 1 at Lynn and Lead Mine Rd and will usually run
from 9am-4pm with lunch provided.
Please contact me at
dcline@sixforks.com for orientation dates or further questions.
