Six Forks
EMS was chartered as Six Forks Rescue Squad in 1976 and is managed by a
volunteer board of directors. Six Forks is under contract to Wake County
to provide Emergency Medical Services to over 110 square miles in the
Northwest portion of the county. Our responding members are NC State
certified and work under the medical direction of the Wake County
Medical Director, Dr. Brent Myers. Over the years our agency has
grown to employ over 60 paid and volunteer staff members. We operate 24
hours a day, 365 days a year utilizing four ambulances during
peak hours and two ambulances during off-peak hours. We responed to over
5100 emergency 911 dispatched calls in calendar year 2007.
We currently operate from three locations.
